Food and wine aficionados will be exuberant over the culinary related applications. Fresh food fans can, via the phones built-in GPS capability, track down all the farmers markets in their area. You can turn your iPhone into a cookbook by downloading an app that describes over 25,000 recipes. And if you are going to be serving wine with that meal, get a program that lists and rates thousands of wines from around the globe.

Frustrated musicians can find dozens of music-related applications to encourage them. One turns your iPhone into an ocarina; you blow into the microphone while holding down finger combinations and out comes a melody. Another program transforms the phone into an 88-key piano with sustaining pedal action. For guitar fans, you can use your iPhone as a guitar tuner and metronome.

Of course these are all fun things to do. But sometimes you have to get down to work. Multi managing work related tasks is a snap. Users are able to manage business expenses, track sales and leads, and oversee projects. Your phone can even become a sort of cash register, keeping track of refunds and even accepting credit cards for purchases.

And these are merely a small fraction of the things that can be with the iphone. Its many apps bring brand new worlds of learning, working and playing right into your hands. To list them all would require the use of a book larger and heavier than the Michael Jackson Opus. But once you start to investigate, you will discover several apps that strike your fancy. You may even wonder how you lived without them for so long.
